The thought of the day, Wisdom

My commandments

Thought of the day:

One of the most beautiful statements springing from the human heart is that of love and adherence to another fellow man or in a much more complex way, to the values of the character and mentality of the latter.

The same is true when we discuss adherence and love for the Lord Jesus, a state of affairs that we pompously declare whenever we have the opportunity, but which we often fail to put into daily practice.

But if we choose to read carefully the statement of the Savior of the world, and which the Bible puts before us today, we notice among the lines two great truths lost sight of over time (especially due to the dilution of authentic faith in the contemporary Church).

‘He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me,’ said Jesus, and went on enigmatically, ‘And I will love him, and will show myself to him.’ I ended the quote from Ev. After John 14:21

Diligently analyzing this sample of divine thought, we notice first of all that the Deity is not completely isolated from us, somewhere in a purely imaginary world as we tend to believe, but is physically revealed to all those who wish to All this deep fellowship, living a life in accordance with the requirements of divine holiness.

We also notice that God is not impressed by the sweet words spoken with pathos, but rather by the transcription into life practice of His Commandments. This is in fact the proof of absolute love, and of the fact that we cherish and honor Him.

Therefore, all those who adopt in their own lives such a practical fellowship with the Creator, will reach the special status of seeing its beauty and perfection, for like a true friend who cherishes his loved ones, Jesus will come with God the Father and With the Holy Spirit and they will be shown to us in all their Divine splendor.

Be blessed!
