Thought of the day:
‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ John 3:16
This is what we could say without the risk of error, the quintessence of the Plan that the Godhead had for all mankind. A plan that the Lord Jesus later summarized at the end of the exceptional work in perhaps the simplest phrase: It is finished!
‘Then he bowed his head’ over which my sin and yours had been put, ‘and gave up his spirit.’ John 19:30
Meditating in reverence on these short and last words of the Savior of the world, a cry whose echo resounds like thunder over the ages, we understand that all the essence of Goodness and Love has unloaded all its energy there, at Golgotha, on the cursed hill of sin, on The top of “Skull”.
Up there, hanging between heaven and earth on the tree of condemnation, was crucified the Savior of the world, looking with sorrow at the mockery of those whom He had emanated from Himself with so much joy and hope when He chose to create man in His image and likeness. God.
In the bloody tear of sincere love was paid our guilt, of all people corrupted and imbued with the poison of sin.
‘Tetelestai’, it was heard in the night, ‘I have finished the work of my Father, for I have paid in full the guilt which separated man from God!
‘Tetelestai’ resounds for centuries, For you and I now live by His Grace.
It only depends on you now what you do with the right to have eternal life. Use it!
Be blessed!
