We start today from a simple question and often treated with superficiality but which correctly focused can dislodge the thick crust of indifference that has spread over the postmodern world.
So how do you relate to God? As an idea promoted by others or as a Person with whom you have developed a personal relationship?
Due to the degradation of the value system of the society in which we live, when we say or hear about ‘God’, in our minds are activated either the mechanisms of instantaneous rejection of concepts considered rather archaic or too abstract, or acceptance But in a simplified form; A traditional and counterfeit one, adapted to the personal interests of each of us through which God is just a fad.
But going back to the central idea of the question from which we started today, I invite you to deepen our thoughts in a show of wisdom that highlights openly, what we should do in relation to God and also why we have come to trivialize His existence, Or why not, the personal relationship we should have had with Him.
‘Taste and see that the Lord is good!’ The Psalmist invites us. Moreover, he proposes that ‘the man who trusts in Him is truly happy!’ Psalm 34: 8
So we see here how the great King David urges us to educate our minds to look at God as He really is, and not by adjusting His image to our own preferences.
Let us see him as the Creator and the supreme authority in the universe, but at the same time a sensitive person, a friend and a heavenly Father for each of us.
In order to understand it exactly as it is, we must change the simplistic perspective that currently governs our lives and, opening our eyes to the mind, taste the divine goodness that is impossible to describe in words.
Wherever you are, you dare to believe the truth. Make friends with the Lord Jesus and you will find true happiness. It’s at your fingertips.
Be blessed!
