Because it is one of the most blamed but unfortunately misunderstood mechanisms of the human mind, I propose today a brief foray into understanding our dreaded enemy called ‘doubt’ when it comes to faith in God.
Doubt is one of the most interesting and strange phenomena that occur in the human mind, having unsuspected effects on everyday life and the way each of us comes to perceive the world and life itself.
Synonymous with ‘hesitation,’ the mechanism of doubt is in fact the main lever that Satan has used since the beginning of history in his daily struggle against man and his relationship with his fellow men, but especially with God.
What we generically call ‘doubt’ is therefore that complex and treacherous mechanism that will always enter our mind through a weak and at first sight innocent ‘thought’ but which at the right time implanted in an inattentive mind will dig In man the painful caries of decadence.
His driving force is generated by the fact that he carries in himself a strong emotional load, which makes him undoubtedly an unbeatable enemy, often camouflaged in good intentions. So it was in the beginning when by a single idea Adam dug an enormous chasm between himself and his Creator; So it is today, when doubt enslaves minds, destroys relationships, and depraves souls.
In fact, the Bible is firm on this phenomenon. I quote: ‘Whoever doubts, looks like the wave of the sea, disturbed and pushed by the wind here and there. Such a man should not expect to receive anything from the Lord Jesus, for he is an indecisive and unstable man in all his ways. ‘ I ended the quote (James 1: 6-8)
Bearing in mind the divine teaching, you choose to be a vigilant Christian today. Get rid of any thoughts that disturb you, stay away from anyone who brings your doubt into your life and by fighting this ruthless scourge, overcome it by faith in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Be blessed!
