When you start sincerely in search of practical wisdom, you will invariably reach one of the best known and also one of the most used expressions in Christianity.
I quote: ‘God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ John 3:16
Analyzing carefully and diligently this expression we can say without risk of error, that we have before us the very quintessence of the Plan that the Godhead put into action to bring hope and salvation to all mankind. A plan that Jesus later summarized at the end of the exceptional work in perhaps the simplest phrase: It is finished! In other words: I paid in full for the guilt that separated man from God.
However, by failing to relate to the plan of salvation and rehabilitation that the Creator put at his disposal, but especially by indulging in the caresses of sin, the postmodern believer seems to have voluntarily moved the center of gravity from the responsibility with which he himself would He should have referred to holiness, to the obligation of God to unconditionally forgive any whim and any arrogance of the common mortal.
But reading carefully and diligently the plan that the Lord Jesus carried out on the hill ‘Captain’, we easily notice the responsibilities especially the attributions that belong to us, to those who by faith we signed this extraordinary spiritual partnership called ‘New Covenant’ or using A simpler language, ‘we surrendered to the Lord.’
If, therefore, we have entered into this state of grace, by faith, this must be seen, because a faith which has no circumscription to it and the deeds which attest to and validate man’s practical attachment to the values of the Lord, that Faith is just a word in the wind.
It just depends on you what you do and how you relate to the right to have eternal life. Use it!
Be blessed!
