Thought of the day:

‘Teacher, we know that you came from God, because no one can do the signs that you do, except God be with him.’ John 3: 2

Starting from this beautiful statement by which Nicodemus, perhaps the greatest of the Rabbis of Israel at that time, characterized the Savior of the world, and at the same time remembering that we also identified with the latter when we accepted the title of ‘Christians’, stop for a moment from the intense running of life, and try to meditate on your ephemeral existence on this earth, so tried and enslaved by sin.

But moving the magnifying glass of analysis to our own people, we should ask ourselves in secret, how we are viewed and what all those around us see in us.

But why do that? you might ask curiously. Well, assuming the title of “Christians,” that is, followers of Christ, we mutually agreed to adopt and manifest the whole mentality in the world, following his example of behavior.

So ask yourself if the signs that accompany your existence still reflect your God in front of others? Or, if the Love, the Goodness, and the self-sacrifice of your Father in heaven are still distinguished in you.

If not, it means that without realizing it, instead of ascending, you descended step by step on the ladder of holiness, reaching the unhappy status by which you only imitate the faith; a man who boasts of what does not belong to him and whose punishment will in the end be a sad, eternal and irreparable one.

Today you choose the paths of wisdom, and looking carefully through the eyes of those around you, diligently analyze everything that is reflected on your face.
Be ready to love unconditionally, sacrificing yourself to the detriment of the weakest like you, to give rather than to receive, to cherish rather than to strike, to smile, and to put passion into everything you do, because only in this way will the people around you perceive in you the wonderful fragrance of Heaven.

Only in this way will heaven descend to earth, and only in this way will the Creator find pleasure in you.

Be blessed!

Thought of the day:

Driven by their own pride, we often find ourselves in the ungrateful situation where, like the ‘talcum merchants’, we display with pomp and unnatural pride all that we consider best in our personal collection of ‘spiritual and social breezes’.

It is interesting, however, that when we choose to practice such behaviors, we do not do so because we are required to do so, but rather on our own initiative, with the idea of impressing others, forgetting the proverbial saying of the elders that ‘ self-praise does not smell good’.

But if we look carefully and diligently at God’s Word, we notice today the central element of the mentality with which the legendary King David, one of the greatest men of Israel and also of universal history, once guided his life.

‘I,’ he said emphatically, ‘will boast of God, of His Word.’ I trust in God, and so I am not afraid of anything. ” Psalm 56: 4

Meditating calmly, we notice that King David did not boast of himself or of his colossal fortunes, though he had enough to impress an entire world, but in the reverence specific to a man who was exposed to the truth and understood the divine nature. he found pleasure in God, making his name the cause of his praise.

Motivated by this thought, I invite you to learn today that all that we are and all that we have at the moment in administration, is due exclusively to the will of the Creator, a unique God who made man His reliable partner, giving us depending on how far we can go in this world.

Thus, wherever you are, stop for a moment from running after self-elevation and use all the energy you have to convey all the admiration of your Creator, God.

Be blessed!

The thought of the day

A word taken from Romanian folklore says that ‘good guard outweighs bad danger’, thus emphasizing the practical mentality of those who take the appropriate precautionary measures in time, so as not to be caught unprepared for life’s trials. This kind of people will not be left defenseless when problems begin to strike mercilessly and trouble strikes them.

But when it comes to how we invest our energy and effort in protecting our minds, in fact the most precious element of each of us, things become unclear and worryingly confusing.

We are talking about the freedom to accept anything, anyway, no matter how much and from anyone, in the incomprehensible spirit of excessive tolerance towards everything and everything. We have been trained to inhibit our mental defense mechanisms, often remaining uncovered, easy to control, and easy to manipulate.

In our attempt to understand where we have gone wrong and where the error of approach to life is hidden, it is necessary to analyze in parallel both past and present generations, a comparison that will highlight the great discrepancy between the way of being and thinking. of individuals.

So focusing our attention, we notice almost instantly the lack of the key element that gave our forerunners the structure of the strong mentality on which the whole civilization was later built. I am talking here about the meaningful Word of God, a book generically called the ‘Library’ or more popularly known in the world as the ‘Bible’, which in our generation has remained only an alternative source of reading.

In order to return to the heights of glory, it is necessary to re-learn first of all how to read it and especially how to apply it in our own lives. By soaking our minds with the wisdom of the Creator, no obstacle will seem impossible to us, no enemy too strong, and no trouble too great.

Remember: ‘Every word of God is tried. He is a shield to all who trust in Him. ‘ Proverbs 30: 5
